Marriage is Beautiful

May 22, 2014 Kimberly Keith

Marriage is beautiful, but it's also hard. Yesterday morning I nagged Chad for not doing enough to help get Nora ready while we both prepared to head to work. That same evening I pestered him again as I asked for help with cleaning the kitchen.

Then I watched Ian and Larissa Murphy's story. I immediately thanked God for my marriage, husband, and our good health. I have a lot to learn about love.

32:30

May 4, 2014 Kimberly Keith

There is a man in my neighborhood whom Chad and I named-for lack of imagination-"running man". He is tall and lean. He regularly dons a hydration belt and light-colored sun hat. His stride is effortless. His daily trek serves as clear evidence that he is dedicated to running.

I am not.

Then I got wind of our school's annual 5K race and thought why not? If am going to get back in shape it needed to start somewhere. I signed up and told a few colleagues. It's sad, but I figured the possibility of public humiliation for not running could serve as some fairly compelling motivation.

Chad signed up too. He soon became my training buddy. I didn't train often and certainly not well, but I kept with it.

By the time I finished the race my legs were sore, face red, and body sweaty. 32:30 was the time of my first post-baby 5K. My time may not make running man proud, but I decided to do something and finished. That makes me proud.

Let's make a pact to challenge ourselves to grow more; physically, intellectually, spiritually. What's your next adventure?

Hello toes

I'm not one known for style posts, but I'm in the market to add a bit more summer style to my feet. Yup, I'm sandal shopping. Just an everyday go-to. My old faithfuls have hit their expiration date. When it comes to clothing, shoes, and purses, I have trouble committing. I can browse online for days, but I always hesitate to pull the trigger. I'll blame it on my husband's devotion to the Dave Ramsey financial philosophy. However, I'd happily pull the trigger on these beauties any day! Well done, Urban, well done.

some fringe fun // two-toned peep-toe // subtle pop of color // metallic AND leopard print // gladiator glory // the everyday

I'm curious to know, how do you all feel about the 90's shoe revival? Birkenstocks? Platform sneakers? Are you in?
